Woolloomooloo’s latest small bar opened last Thursday.

Guests at the launch event enjoyed cocktails, canapés and a performance by Muma Megs and DJ Klevaone of The Dark Horse.

Peekaboo’s fit-out comes courtesy of Edge Design Studio, stripped back to reveal its original framework there are exposed sandstone walls, naked light bulbs, a varnished timber bar top and a custom painted mural paying homage to many ‘movie greats.’

Peekaboo’s cocktail list includes Cheshire (17) with Gin, Aperol, Honey Water Capped with a Mint and Grapefruit Granita or edgier mixes like Boops Ride (18) Hennessey, Cointreau, lemon juice and watermelon served up martini style or try the Golightly (18), one sure to light your fire with a mix of Jack Daniels, Campari, Amaretto peach bitters, and a splash of honey water served on the rocks.

Food-wise, Peekaboo offers soft tacos with either chicken, pork or veggie, five spiced pork belly with cauliflower puree and a chermoula prawn, pomegranate and couscous salad, as well as charcuterie boards with cured meats, cheese and olives.
