Perth function venue, the State Reception Centre, located within the iconic Kings Park has over the past months played host to a number of high profile visits including Queen Elizabeth II, Belguim’s Prince Philippe, Mwai Kibaki, President of Kenya, US Secretary of state Hilary Rodham Clinton and many others.

The State Reception Centre is situated above the award winning Fraser’s Restaurant.

Recently the Fraser’s complex in Kings Park underwent a $9 million redevelopment by the State Government.

The facilities at Fraser’s were expanded to accommodate the Leaders’ Retreat for the prestigious biennial Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) hosted in October last year.

The Kings Park overhaul included replacing the temporary marquee that has stood on top of the Fraser’s building for the past 10 years with a permanent, circular glass and steel structure. Showcasing the latest technology, wood decking, ample natural light, opening floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views, this impressive purpose-built facility is able to host large receptions and dinners suitable for government, corporate and community events up to 700 people cocktail style or 400 seated.

Western Australian Premier, Colin Barnett is confident that the State Reception Centre “will be the prime centre for major events in Western Australia simply because of the beauty of Kings Park and the spectacular backdrop of Perth.”

Fraser’s is renowned for its commitment and dedication to providing only the best food, wine and service, Executive Chef Chris Taylor designs the menus using only the freshest produce available, inclusive of fresh regional produce that the coastline and interior offers.

“Fraser’s is versatile, and we bring our commitment to quality to everything we do,” says executive Chef Chris Taylor. “So you will experience the same produce-driven food and excellent service whether you are having a cocktail party for 700, or an intimate dinner for two.”

Kings Park encompasses 400 hectares of magnificent parkland within the CBD and is one of Perth’s top attractions.
