Last weekend heralded a major milestone in the history of Australia’s first public art gallery and an exciting moment for Victorians to celebrate their outstanding art collection and the achievement of artists with the 150th celebration for the National Gallery of Victoria.

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) celebrated 150 years with a pARTy last week.

The NGV events team had the monumental task of throwing a party in both NGVI and NGVA galleries. The highlight of the pARTy was held in the Great Hall with some of Melbourne’s finest talent in the shape of Combo La Revelacion, The Bamboos & Dan Sultan.

Guests were entertained by a wide variety of musical talent performing in the Great Hall.

Experts at supplying technical production, selectAV, were given the task of designing a unique lighting installation for the main stage and look after the audio requirements. A set up that resembled a work of art in itself.
