Lateral Events has exclusive use of Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck restaurant in the UK for two days this week, with Heston providing a personal tour of his Experiential Kitchen before serving a 12 course dinner in the renowned Fat Duck.
With 32,000 reservation requests each day for the 40 seat restaurant, the event provides Lateral’s Australian clients with access to the inaccessible.
In August, Heston Blumenthal will host a series of exclusive events for Lateral’s clients in Singapore and Hong Kong, while in May 2012 an extended tour of Asia, Australia and New Zealand is being scheduled incorporating both exclusive corporate events and public events in 2,000 seat theatres.
“Staging events at the Fat Duck is of course very exciting for us, but bringing Heston to Hong Kong and Singapore in August and Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland next May builds on the huge success we had with Heston in Sydney in March – for someone constantly striving to provide unique events – this is Eldorado,” said Simon Baggs, Lateral’s CEO.
Heston Blumenthal is the chef and owner of The Fat Duck, the Michelin three-star restaurant in the village of Bray in England.
The Fat Duck has been voted Best Restaurant in the world and is currently considered the best restaurant in Britain by the UK’s prestigious Good Food Guide.
The corporate events will look at Heston Blumenthal’s unique philosophy and approach to cooking, exploring taste and flavour, and his passion for the multi-sensory experience of eating and drinking.
