Following on from the gastronomic success of this year’s inaugural March Into Merivale food and wine festival, each of Merivale’s nine restaurants are back to feature a tempting array of wine events during March into Merivale 2010.

The new, extended program runs until 16 April 2010 and will showcase over 50 events for all lovers of the great grape.

Award-winning sommelier, Franck Moreau, will be hosting Merivale’s first ever Wine Trade Show where guests will have the opportunity to taste over 80 top international wines, chat with Franck and make one-off discounted wine buys.

The evening will be a great opportunity for wine lovers to enjoy international drops from French and Spanish wines through to classic Barossa Shiraz’s and the latest Pinot Noirs, with a celebrity judging panel deciding the top tipple of the night.

The event will also have various competitions and prizes with other special guests including sommeliers Andrew Guard and Charles Leong, and Franz Scheurer from the Australian Gourmet Pages.

The event takes place on Tuesday 30 March from 6pm – 9.30pm at The Ivy Room, 320 George Street, Sydney

Cost: $25 per person. Bookings essential on 02 9240 3000 or click here for more information.
