Travelling to Hong Kong and Macau has never been cheaper thanks to low-cost airline Viva Macau, which is offering airfares for just $670 return ex-Sydney.

Viva Macau’s planes can fly up, down, left and right

Viva Macau, which flies four times per week from Sydney to Macau, has reduced its fuel surcharge on the route from $95 to $60, creating added incentive to visit the former Portuguese colony, accourding to Viva Macau CEO Con Korfiatis.

“The recent reductions in world oil prices have allowed us to reduce our fuel surcharges and pass these savings on to our customers,” he said. “We want to make traveling to Macau, Asia’s newest and most exciting destination for leisure and business, more affordable than ever before, especially during these difficult economic times.”

The reduction in prices bodes well for the MICE market, with Macau now challenging Thailand as the most affordable conference and incentive destination in Asia.
