The Dockside Group of Sydney has appointed Lesley Aitken to the newly created role of director of marketing, taking responsibility for the overall marketing of the combined portfolio of eight venues and ongoing developments in 2009.

Most recently Aitken was director of marketing for the AIH Group, a position she held for the past two years. She has also held senior positions as manager for brands and research for Sydney Olympic Park Authority and was head of brands at Sydney Airport.
In her newly appointed role, she will take responsibility for setting up and delivering marketing and customer service platforms throughout the organisation to drive growth from new and existing markets.
“Dockside Group has some unique harbourside venues, enjoys a remarkable market presence and is well respected within the industry, so I am looking forward to contributing to the ongoing success of such a winning team,” she said.
Dockside managing director, Cristopher Drivas, said Aitken’s appointment reflects the growth strategy of his organisation.
