Two of the MICE market’s most prestigious international speakers will share an insight into the industry at Conventions & Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) next month.
Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) president, Padraic Gilligan, and International Conference and Convention Association (ICCA) president, Leigh Harry, will be keynote speakers at the annual conference being held at the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre starting October 7.
“Both these speakers will bring a global overview to our conference and are uniquely positioned to speak on the conference focus which is ‘Meet the Future’,” said CINZ chief executive, Alan Trotter.
“Along with local speakers and in-depth break out sessions, the conference will offer a global overview of our industry sectors and an opportunity for us to revisit some of the fundamentals that our industry relies on.”
Topics the speakers will cover include ‘Future Proofing Your Business’ and ‘The young shall inherit the earth, reaching out to generation Y’.
“The conference is timely to reflect on New Zealand’s market positioning,” Trotter added. “Globally and locally times are tough financially and the industry needs to meet this challenge head on and come up with some solutions to work through this period.”
The conference will begin with a ‘Soiree by the sea’ on the first night, with the welcome function the following night at Church Road winery. The conference concludes with a dinner at the Hawke’s Bay Opera House on October 9.
