Marking the second year of the awards, ABEA says they “recognise and celebrate the people, companies, teams and innovations shaping Australia’s business events sector”.
The 2025 edition will be held on Thursday, 4 December, 2025 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre as part of the 2025 ABEA Conference.
Across 26 categories, the Australian Business Events Awards honour impact and excellence in the business events industry.
New categories in 2025 include Event Manager of the Year, Operations Person of the Year, and Sales, Marketing or Business Development Person of the Year.
Two dedicated venue awards have also been added, recognising excellence in convention centres and other business event venues.
Additionally, the Best Team category has been expanded with subcategories now covering Best Non-Hire Service or Suppliers Team, Best Organisers or PCO Team, Best Bureau Destination Marketing Team and Best Hire Companies Team.
“These awards are designed to elevate excellence, inspire progress and celebrate the people shaping the future of business events,” says Melissa Brown, CEO, ABEA.
“Beyond recognition, the awards offer finalists and winners national exposure, increased credibility among stakeholders, and access to a high-impact evening of networking with leaders and decision-makers from across the sector.”
