The 29th annual Australian Association of Convention Bureaux conference will be held at Mooloolaba Beach from 12 – 14 August this year.

The conference is pitched at people who are actively involved in attracting business events to Australia or to a specific region. It is ideal for destination marketers and business development managers of convention bureaux, convention centres, hotel groups, airlines and PCOs.

The conference theme is The Next Wave: Exceeding Tomorrow’s Expectations

The program will include sessions on mindfulness practice, the future of the business events industry, trends around current and future travellers, new technologies including VR, AR and AI, audience engagement and the ‘festivalisation’ of business events, storytelling and more.

Speakers include Peter Bliss from Business is Bliss and China strategist Leonie McKeon, and will be emceed by Lynne Schinella.
