A sky-high cocktail bar with panoramic views of Sydney is set to become the highest bar in Parramatta.

Sitting more than 100 metres above ground level atop the $309-million V by Crown Group, the Sky Bar will offer spectacular views of the Blue Mountains, Sydney CBD and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Set to open in summer 2016/17, the Sky Bar features an expansive 275 square metre internal bar area, direct lift access, double height ceilings and a 90 square metre outdoor terrace with sweeping 270 degree views.

A glass wall will take advantage of the bar’s sky high position forming a backdrop behind the bar service area.

Known as Parramatta’s vertical village, V by Crown Group is located on the corner of Macquarie and Marsden streets, less than 300m from Parramatta Square; Parramatta City Council’s $2 billion, 3-hectare redevelopment precinct and less than 600m from Parramatta train station, Parramatta Heritage Parklands and Westfield Parramatta.

Designed by Sydney-based Allen Jack + Cottier and Koichi Takada Architects, V by Crown Group includes a collection of luxury hotel-style suites, an archaeological showcase and an alfresco dining and retail piazza on ground level.

The 590-apartment development is scheduled for stage one completion in December.

An official opening date for the top-level bar will be announced later this year.
