Commonwealth Park opened its gates last night for the seventh annual Floriade NightFest.
Visitors will converge on the park for the next four nights to enjoy the world class display of lights and sound that have been choreographed by internationally-acclaimed lighting specialist Mandylights.
Mandylights director Daniel Mercer said this year’s NightFest visitors will enjoy some surprise entertainment including comedians, DJs and circus performers, as well as night markets.
“Visitors to the park this year will find hidden snippets of entertainment around every corner. We’ve combined a powerful mix of light and sound into this year’s event so whether you are in the Triffid Garden, in front of the PacMan garden bed or exploring your passion for cars, there will be an interactive element to your experience.”
Floriade NightFest is held between 6.30pm and 10.30pm from September 24 – 28.
