Late last month digital event producers Create Engage sponsored the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 2014 at Carriageworks in Sydney.
The event challenges business and community leaders to get a glimpse of what it feels like to be homeless through one night of sleeping rough. This year the event raised over $5.6 million from over 1000 CEOs nationwide.
Create Engage worked with the team from Vinnies to provide the live stream of the event on the night as well as well as recording vox pops with the attendees and recording interviews to be utilised post event. Introducing a hybrid event element to the Vinnies CEO Sleepout has provided a greater audience for the event and the cause with hundreds of additional viewers on the night.
Create Engage provided cameras and camera operators, all webcasting equipment and built a custom webpage to house the streaming content.
Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the event and, as such, Create Engage will be working with Vinnies on an overall digital events strategy that will assist in creating a broader reach for the event.
