Triumph Leisure Solutions was thrilled to be appointed as the special event organiser tasked with producing a group photo opportunity, conference and gala dinner on Friday, 12th July 2013.

Managing director, Blake Harris, pulled on his experience delivering the 2011 Amway event to create a spectacular that kept guests entertained for the entire day and showcased the best of Australian talent.

The day commenced with a water based spectacular, housed in Cockle Bay in front of an enormous 65m x 5m banner. Blake said, “The clients initially wanted their banner to be revealed from the Western Distributor. The challenge was balancing the clients vision with what was physically and legally permitted in Darling Harbour.”

The guests enjoyed a 10 minute show featuring Splashdown Entertainment and pyrotechnics from Howard and Sons. A photograph was taken including all 3,000 guests and the banner, and then guests moved in to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The gala dinner took place at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

A unique and powerful opening performance by a group of local indigenous artists opened a full day of conferencing before guests moved through to the exhibition halls for dinner.

The gala dinner was designed to take guests on a magical journey – lifting off into space and then landing at various areas of Australia to enjoy all things unique to our culture. Choreographed by acclaimed dancer Jason Coleman, the live performances engrossed guests from start to finish. The highlight of the live performance was a bow to the VIP’s by Drummer – the horse made famous by The Man From Snowy River and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Triumph Leisure Solutions specialises in creating animated content for large scale projection screens to complement the live program. The room was filled with two 48m x 8m screens along with 7 large inflatable spheres which also had content projected on to them to allow all guests to feel a part of the event.

“A large incentive group like this is fantastic for the Sydney event industry,” said Blake Harris. “It is not often such a large scale event takes place which allows the very best in their fields to come together and create such a wonderful experience for visiting tourists.”
