Hilton Melbourne South Wharf has launched a dining concept that gives guests the chance to interact with the hotel’s chefs and wine experts in any one of the stylish private spaces throughout the hotel.
The HIlton Melbourne South Wharf has launched Sotano Live!, a unique interactive dining experience in a stylish private space.
Sotano Live! offers three inventive dining and drinking experiences where guests gain a greater appreciation of where their food and wine is from; how it is prepared and cooked – and then of course can enjoy eating and drinking it in a dynamic and interactive setting.
“Our customers told us they wanted innovative function options, so we are delighted to deliver, Sotano Live,” said Michael Bourne, the hotel’s general manager. “It is a unique offering and a culinary experience like no other in Melbourne.”
The first experience is the Spanish Tasting Stations, where guests engage with staff as they create, cook and serve paella, grills, charcuterie, cheese and tapas at interactive stations.
The second is the Spanish Tapas Masterclass. Guided by Philippe Perrey, groups of up to 20 are taken through a cheese, charcuterie and cava tasting session, and then learn how to cook up to three tapas dishes in this intimate Masterclass session in the Nuevo37 kitchen.
Menu three is Spain v Australia: the charcuterie, cheese and wine showdown. Hosted by our Executive Chef and Head Sommelier, groups of up to 20 people can book to experience this culinary competition between Spain and Australia.
The hotel’s Private Spaces can accommodate VIP dinners of 10 up to cocktail events of 500 people. The spaces make the most of the hotel’s unparalleled views of the Melbourne’s cityscape and picturesque riverside location.
The hotel’s bar, Sotano Wine + Tapas, is a space equally suited to grand and intimate events with its spectacular wine wall suspended over the expansive bar, a soaring charcuterie tower that reaches towards the bar’s seven-metre ceiling, and a heated outside terrace.
The hotel’s restaurant, Nuevo37, enjoys floor-to-ceiling windows with city and river views. Its ambience is refined but welcoming and showcases fresh and seasonal Spanish-inspired Australian cuisine.
The hotel also offers an outdoor barbecue terrace overlooking the Yarra River – the intimate River Room. So whether it is a dining experience in the refined yet relaxing main dining room, the buzzing riverside terrace or intimate private dining room, the restaurant has a private space to suit.
