Farewell International Mobile Phone Bill Shockers

TravelSIM, the mobile phone service which allows international business travellers to receive calls for free to 70 countries has announced reduced rates for making calls while global roaming.

For regulalr interenational travellers, the prepaid sim card is designed to signigficantly  reduce the cost of using a mobile phone internationally and works in over 170 countries. TravelSIM retails for $49.95 with $5 included credit and can be purchased through Australia Post and Allphones outlets.

TravelSIM customers can now receive calls for free in an additional 7 countries including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Lebanon and Brazil. This takes the total number of counties were customers can receive calls for free to 70.

The drop in rates is a response to the increase in outbound Australian tourism for this coming winter, said CEO Jamien Zimmermann. We have already seen a large increase in Australian departures from Australia this year and with the dollar so strong the travel industry is predicting all time high departures to the northern hemisphere.

Customers will save on average 75% on the cost of international roaming, in some cases this will be even higher. These new rates combined with our language translation service will greatly benefit the many customers who travel this winter.” said Zimmermann.

TravelSIM works in over 170 counties and is free to receive calls in over 70 of these countries. Travellers to Europe experience the biggest savings as most countries are free to receive calls here.
