Russian Standard Vodka celebrated its 1-year anniversary at an exclusive party at The Ivy Penthouse in Sydney. Doubling the cause for celebration, the event also marked an international first for the premium vodka brand – the launch of its citrus ready-to-drink (RTD) product, in Australia.

Guests at The Ivy event were treated to a special performance from former Sneaky Sound System front men, Daimon Downey as MC and Nick Broadhurst on sax. The duo battled it out with new kids on the block, Flight Facilities, who performed their popular single ‘Crave You’, featuring Giselle on vocals.

Entertaining guests were Giselle and Flight Facilities as well as former frontman of Sneaky Sound System

Roustam Tariko, founder and president of Russian Standard Vodka, attended the event and led a traditional Russian toast to Russian Standard’s success.

Transforming The Ivy Penthouse into a magnificent winter scene with touches of Moscow’s cosmopolitan nightlife, the luxurious event featured falling snow, beautiful Russian Standard Vodka cocktails, amazing ice-sculptures, a decadent ice oyster bar and Russian inspired canapés.

Getting into the mood of the evening, guests took part in traditional Russian rituals, such as toasting ‘Davai!’ (‘let’s go for it’) while looking into each other’s eyes, as Russian tradition states that when you look into the eyes of the person you are toasting, you can see into their soul.

The cocktails on offer included the Russian Standard Platinum Signature Serve, made with fresh seasonal fruit poured over hand-chipped ice. Guests also enjoyed the delectable Russian Standard Platinum Pomegranate Sour, made with fresh pomegranate and lime juice, shaken vigorously and served in a martini glass, and the bold Moscow Tea Party, made with the new Russian Standard Gold, peach puree and black tea served in a highball glass.

The Russian Standard Vodka models also featured at the event, tempting guests with traditional shots of Russian Standard Original served with Black Pearl Epicure caviar and oysters.
