The 4th Annual Rolling Stone Awards presented by Patron Tequila hosted a fantastic event at Sydney’s Beach Road Hotel last Wednesday (16th January.)

The cream of the music industry and a handful of international artists gathered together for a party that saw premium tequila brand Patrón wow the crowd with an abundance of drink choices including Patrón tequila and Ultimat vodka cocktails and a variety of different flavoured shots.

The main bar had six beautifully crafted cocktails on rotation, while the Ice Luge bar gave the guests a fun and interactive approach to drinking Patrón Café XO coffee liqueur.

Guests on arrival were greeted with the option of either the Ultimat Rosemary Martina or the Patrón Perfect Margarita, presented in Patrón Jam Jars. Throughout the night Patrón offered new cocktails to choose from.

The Ultimat Lychee Breeze and the Patrón Reposado Paloma tantalized the taste buds, while the ever-popular Xpresso Martini kept the crowd buzzing. To enjoy the sweet sounds of performer Owl Eyes, Bloody Maria Cabillito’s (with a cucumber foam) were served in Patrón shot glasses, quickly becoming a crowd favourite.

“This event was by far our best to date. Having sponsored this event for three years we know what works and what the people want,” said Tony Lau, senior brand manager for Patrón. “We feel that Patrón gives the awards that little extra something. But it was the strength and commitment from both Patrón tequila and Rolling Stone Magazine that provided an element of sophistication and prestige to the event.”

The Red Carpet was buzzing with excitement, with guests such as Vampire Weekend and Crystal Castles eager to get the party started. The guests had plenty of fun activities to fill in the time before the award ceremony commenced. The photo booth gave party-goers an opportunity to capture the night where as Bondi Ink gave a more permanent reminder of the fun had at the Rolling Stone Awards.

With an onsite parlour, guests were entitled to a free tattoo – one of the tattoos of offer was the Patrón Tequila Bee.

One guest was brave enough to go under the needle and pay his allegiance to the one of the fastest-growing luxury ultra-premium tequila in the world.

Patrón were proud to sponsor two out of the nine awards, presented by Tex Perkins. The Best New Talent (sponsored by Ultimat Vodka) was awarded to The Medics and Single of the Year (sponsored by Patrón) went to The Presets, for electro-pop track ‘Ghosts’, which was voted by Rolling Stone Magazine readers.

Patrón tequila is one of the fastest-growing, luxury ultra-premium spirit brands in the world. Their attitude, passion and strive for excellence made them the perfect sponsor for the Rolling Stone Awards, where their unique cocktails and punchy drinks help set the mood for one of the most memorable nights for 2013.
