The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) has just completed a familiarisation for a group of NSW-based conference and event organisers.

Upon arrival at Coolangatta Airport, guests were immediately whisked up the coast on the back of a Harley to check out the view over Burleigh Beach, taken on a tour of the convention centre, followed by a Tapas Masterclass hosted by GCCEC’s executive chef, Garry Kindred and chef de partie, Todd Hyde.

Guests created a selection of cold entrées including a sand crab avocado tower with roma tomatoes and apple brioche before sitting down to lunch.

In the evening, the group went to the 1950s tribute stage show ‘Shake Rattle ‘n’ Roll’ where they all dressed the part in their neck scarf’s, white t-shirts and jeans.

On the final day guests toured nearby Broadbeach accommodation properties Sofitel, Meriton and Peppers and then went to play on the beach. Throughout the day, PCOs were treated to local culinary gems and popular hot spots that are dotted within walking distance of the centre.
