Business Events Geelong launches new planner guide

Industry guests gathered to celebrate the launch of the new guide.

Business Events Geelong hosted an exclusive launch party on 14 November to celebrate the release of the 2020-2021 Planner’s Guide.

Around 130 VIPs comprised of event managers, PCOs, EAs and PAs gathered at Melbourne’s Alto Event Space for a Hamptons-inspired soiree to unveil the new guide.

DJ Lili Joy provided the tunes for the evening, while attendees enjoyed delicious canapes, local Bellarine wines, an oyster and seafood bar as well as a pop-up ‘Pimp my Prosecco’ station to add some colour to their tipples.

Business Events Geelong convention bureau manager Mark Day said the event was a resounding success.

“Our Planners Guide launch is a big event on our calendar and we were so honoured that the industry showed up in droves to support the launch,” he said.

“Geelong is continuously evolving and our Planner’s Guide reflects all the exciting new vendors and venues that we’re so proud to have in our region.”

A copy of the guide was hidden inside a cake and a lucky attendee was given the honours of officially unveiling it by smashing the cake to pieces.

The attendee also took home the major door prize of the evening: a weekend away at the luxurious Campbell Point House.

The Meet Geelong 2020-21 Planner’s Guide brings together some of the best venues, vendors and experience operators in the Geelong, Bellarine and Werribee region.
