Australia’s first in-airport hotel opens at Sydney Airport

Aerotel features 15 Solo and Double rooms which can be booked by the hour, in blocks of time, or overnight.

Australia’s first in-airport hotel, Aerotel, has opened in the 1 International Terminal arrivals hall at Sydney Airport, offering travellers a quick and convenient option to refresh and refuel before or after a flight.

Owned and managed by airport lounge operator Plaza Premium Group, Aerotel features 15 Solo and Double rooms which can be booked by the hour, in blocks of time, and for overnight stays, with flexible check-in and checkout.

Compact and functional, each room contains an ensuite bathroom complete with shower and bathroom amenities, as well as bottled water, free-view TV, complimentary WiFi, iron and ironing board on request and wake-up call service.

Guests can also access the new Plaza Premium Lounge within the hotel at a special rate, where they can enjoy a range of light refreshments, sandwiches, salads, hot meals, tea and coffee and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

“Aerotel is an exciting, boutique hotel experience for the modern-day traveller and we’re thrilled to be able to secure the first in-airport hotel in Australia,” Sydney Airport executive general manager commercial Mark Zaouk said.

“Convenience is key when you’re travelling, and having the hotel situated within the International arrivals hall delivers that in spades. Whether you’re heading out or flying in, Aerotel will now play a central role in delivering a great airport experience for passengers.”

Aerotel hotels can also be found in London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Rio de Janeiro, Muscat, Cebu, Beijing, Qingdao and Guangzhou.
