The $20 million Brell House is set to open as an extension of St Marys Diggers Club, and it will be helmed by Marlene Shipley (pictured, above left), one of the region’s longest-serving female hospitality leaders.
Shipley began her career at the club in 1993, before becoming CEO in 2007.
“We want a venue that feels like the living room of the west – a place where anyone can feel at home any day of the week,” she says.
Brell House represents St Marys Diggers Club’s first major refurbishment since 2005, and it will feature multipurpose spaces for social occasions and business events.
It offers contemporary events spaces with indoor and outdoor facilities, plus catering by Mitchell Davis (pictured, above centre) and Gavin Gray (pictured, above right) from Great Eats Co.
Brell House offers more than 200 onsite parking spaces, three large-format LED screens and a curated entertainment program.
“This redevelopment transforms the Diggers site into a destination where heritage meets hospitality and everyone belongs,” says Shipley, a local resident and former Penrith City Councillor.
“We’re proud to create local jobs and contribute to the precinct’s revitalisation.”
The opening of Brell House signals a new era for Western Sydney hospitality – a female-led, community-driven venue that sets a benchmark for the region’s future.
The venue will open its doors on 25 October 2025.
