Boasting the largest and most versatile event facilities in Perth, which include a convention level and event spaces with more than 2500 square metres of function spaces and two ballrooms with dedicated pre-function spaces, Pan Pacific Perth has been one of Australia’s most anticipated hotel renovation projects in 2025.
Spice was in attendance at the gala reopening celebration on Friday, 16 May, 2025, as the 488-room hotel welcomed guests and dignitaries for a night of networking and fun.
In addition to the events spaces and guest rooms and suites, Pan Pacific Perth features its revamped lobby, the Pan Pacific Club Lounge and UMA restaurant – all designed by FDAT Architects.
Set against the backdrop of Perth’s riverfront, the hotel’s transformation “blends luxury with purpose, reflecting Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s deep commitment to sustainability”, according to the company.
“We are incredibly proud of this transformation, which not only reaffirms our commitment to luxury and sustainability but strengthens our identity as a place of celebration – something we’ve proudly been for more than three decades,” says Rens Breur, the recently appointed general manager of Pan Pacific Perth.

“This refurbishment is more than a revitalisation of our guest rooms and event spaces; it’s a meaningful evolution that reflects our core values and underscores our continued investment in Perth’s vibrant hospitality landscape.
“For many people, Pan Pacific Perth has been the backdrop to life’s milestone moments. With this transformation, we’re elevating that legacy – enhancing our offering to deliver exceptional experiences.
“As the city’s largest hotel convention destination, our flexible venues are perfectly suited for everything from executive meetings and large-scale conferences to truly memorable celebrations.”
