Hot venue: El Camino Cantina, Manly

Margaritas and nachos are on the menu

El Camino Cantina will bring Tex-Mex to the northern beaches, with a 365-seat restaurant and dining terrace opening on the new rooftop of Manly Wharf.

Officially opening on 9 November 2018, the new restaurant builds on the success of the original El Camino in The Rocks.

Part of Rockpool Dining Group, El Camino Cantina Manly will offer complimentary and unlimited tortilla chips and salsas, alongside a Tex-Mex menu with tacos, fajitas, burritos, wings and more.

Bold colours dominate the waterside venue.

Super-sized margaritas, local and Mexican beers and over 100 tequilas and mezcals will also be on offer for guests.

Groups can make use of the outdoor dining terrace, which can be hired exclusively for up to 150 pax.

Inside, a large horse-shoe shaped bar takes centre stage, while a mix of high-top tables and smaller settings are on offer throughout the main dining area.

The restaurant features two distinct areas that lend themselves well to semi-private group functions, both accommodating up to 80 guests.

The venue occupies the rooftop at Manly Wharf.

Rockpool Dining Group CEO Thomas Pash said El Camino Cantina’s debut is perfectly timed for summer.

“There will be no better place to enjoy summer than from El Camino Cantina’s rooftop vantage point, with frozen margaritas and ice-cold Mexican beers washing down some of our fantastic Tex-Mex dishes,” he said.

El Camino Cantina features all the hallmarks of Texan meets Mexican interior design, including neon lights, custom-designed flame artwork, rock ‘n’ roll decorative touches and original art and concert posters from Australian artist Ben Brown.

The venue offers a number of areas for group bookings.
