Once a boarding house and community hub, Cropley House has reopened as an event space, following a year of renovations.

Located in Baulkham Hills in Sydney’s north west, the two-story mansion dates back to the 1920s and is situated on five acres of green parkland.

Run by hospitality firm Dockside Group, Cropley House is suitable for all types of events, from large lunches to conferences with small breakout areas.

Cropley House features two ballrooms with high ceilings and heritage features.

Upstairs, the dormitories where the boarders once slept have been re-purposed as function rooms and breakout areas with views over the grounds. Downstairs, the venue features two statement ballrooms with capacity for up to 150 guests.

Dockside Group managing director Christopher Drivas says the building blends modern design with heritage charm.

The venues features four smaller spaces upstairs.

“We’re proud of how versatile Cropley House is as a venue, with each room creating an atmosphere perfect for any event,” he says.

“Its classic and elegant design will delight anyone from a bride on her big day to a conference attendee.”

Bookings are now open for the venue, which also has an onsite team of sales and event coordinating staff, bar and waitstaff.
