Two Sydney venues to undergo major refurbishments

Public House Management Group has confirmed significant reinvestment in two of its venues.

Public House Management Group has confirmed significant reinvestment in two of its Sydney venues, The Woollahra Hotel and The Royal Hotel Paddington.

The redevelopment of The Woollahra Hotel is currently underway with plans unveil a brand new product in early 2019, while The Royal Paddington will undergo a refurbishment by late 2019 which will include upgrades to the Elephant Bar and rooftop.

The upgrades follow the reopening of the Toxteth Hotel in Glebe earlier this year, after an extensive six-month refurbishment of the interiors, exterior and overhaul of the food and beverage experiences.

PHMG CEO and founder Mitchell Waugh says he is excited to unveil the new-look venues next year.

“As always, PHMG will continue to look for investments and opportunities whilst ensuring we engage and give back to the communities in which we currently operate,” he says.

Waugh also confirmed the group has decided not to extend its management agreement of The Buena in Mosman.

The three-year agreement, which has now finished, was in place to launch The Buena and Bistro Moncur Mosman into Sydney’s lower north shore.

Under the ownership of the Fallon family, The Buena will be announcing an all-new dining concept in the coming weeks.

“We are tremendously proud of what we have achieved in re-establishing The Buena as the heart of the community and fulfilling our brief to introduce the Fallon family to the hospitality industry,” says Waugh.
