First look at W Kuala Lumpur

The newly opened hotel features 150 luxury rooms and more than 1500 square metres of event space.

W Hotels Worldwide, part of Marriott International, has made its Malaysian debut, with the opening of W Kuala Lumpur.

Just steps from the Petronas Twin Towers, the hotel features 150 guest rooms and suites, including two WOW suites and the Extreme WOW Suite – the brand’s take on the traditional presidential suite.

All W Kuala Lumpur rooms and suites embody traditional and modern elements of Malaysia and the entire property has been designed with a modern jungle theme in mind.

The hotel boasts over 1500 square metres of event space, including the 1000-square-metre Great Room.

W Hotels global brand leader Anthony Ingham says as one of the most modern cities in Asia, Kuala Lumpur was a natural fit for the brand.

“We are blown away by how the city is moving towards the future while still maintaining its traditional and cultural roots,” he says. “It’s a precise balancing act that we have brought to the intricate, vibrant design of W Kuala Lumpur to show guests from across the globe all the magic this city has to offer.”

The property also features six  beverage and food venues, including Yen, a contemporary Cantonese restaurant; Flock, an Australian-inspired all-day-dining restaurant; and the WET Deck pool bar.

W Kuala Lumpur will also offer two privately-managed dining and entertainment venues including Saint Pierre, a 70-seat French eatery and Wicked, the city’s newest VIP club.
