Save the date: Inaugural Event Summit

Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley is one of the speakers on the program

A one day events industry ‘super’ conference has been announced for June 14 in Sydney.

The  conference will feature 22 speakers across 22 sessions, including the people behind the recent Super Bowl, Australian Open of Tennis and Commonwealth Games events.

The Event Summit, presented by SafetyCulture, is part of the Vivid Ideas Exchange 2o18 and will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

SafetyCulture CEO, Luke Anear, says, “Ensuring attendees and staff have a safe experience is fundamental to running events. The risks associated with event management are changing faster than ever before, as we have seen with incidents around the world recently.

“It is terrific to see the industry leaders come together at The Event Summit to discuss the best methods for reducing risk and ensuring patrons continue to enjoy each event they attend and I am looking forward to hearing from the world class speaker line up,” said Anear.

Speakers include CEO of Tennis Australia, Craig Tiley; CEO of Destination NSW, Sandra Chipchase; Former VP Events NFL, Producer of nine Super Bowls and CEO of Fast Traffic Events and Entertainment, Frank Supovitz; CEO of Westpac Helicopters, Stephen Leahy; CEO of Sold Out Events – Official Event Management Company Commonwealth Games, Thomas Staunton; and Senior VP and Managing Director of IMG, Jason Fielding, to name just a few.

Attendees will gain exposure to industry professionals from DNSW, NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, Tourism Australia, Fairfax Events, IMG, Australian Open, Commonwealth Games Event Management Company, Australian Turf Club and more.
