Merivale has added another venue to its  portfolio, with the acquisition of The Vic on the Park in Sydney’s Marrickville.

The beloved pub is Merivale’s second Inner West property, joining Queens Hotel on Enmore Road.

Justin Hemmes, CEO of Merivale, said: “The Vic has long been at the heart of Marrickville, a vibrant community hub where people of all ages and walks of life can come together”.

“We have loved being part of the Inner West since opening Queens last year and can’t wait to take on what is undoubtedly an important and cherished venue in the area”.

Merivale will receive the keys to the property on 13 November. There are no plans for a major refurbishment and the venue will trade as normal for the foreseeable future, with a renewed focus on its food offering.

The news follows Merivale’s acquisition of The Collaroy in Sydney’s Northern Beaches in August. The beachside pub is set to reopen after refurbishment this Summer.

Merivale will also soon open the doors to Mr Liquor’s Dirty Italian Disco, a pop-up venue in collaboration with revered Sydney chefs Mike Eggert and Jemma Whiteman.

Located in what was the bottle shop of the Tennyson Hotel, the drive-way eatery will launch late October, serving up American-style Italian for a six-month stint.
