It was all glitz and glam last night at the Hilton Sydney, with more than 300 attendees gathering to witness the official unveiling of the hotel’s revamped function spaces.

The multi-million dollar revitilisation – which was conceived by designer Joseph Pang and inspired by a bird’s eye view of the Sydney cityscape – saw new zones and moods created using vivid colours and eclectic furniture.

Addressing the crowd, Hilton Sydney’s long-serving general manager Ronald Van Weezel said he initially thought the bold colour choice “was a bit risky”, but now described the finished product as one that accurately reflected the hotel’s aspiration to be “the heartbeat of Sydney”.

Guests took in the atmosphere of the refreshed Grand Ballroom over a sit-down dinner designed by executive chef Kruno Velican and enjoyed performances by artists from Opera Australia.
