Outrigger Fiji to prioritise meetings and incentives in 2017

The Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort has announced it will look to grow its meetings and incentives business in 2017.

According to director of sales and marketing, Ben Johnson, the property’s 40 acres of gardens and 252 rooms and bures delivers an refreshing alternative for corporate events.

“The Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort offers conferencing, team building, community work and pampering for partners within a safe, short-haul, exciting cultural environment.

“With a personal account manager based on property to oversee the entire experience, as well as support from a Sydney-based sales team in the lead-up to the event, we are committed to ensuring all stakeholder expectations are exceeded,” Johnson said.

“We have an a la carte selection of activities that can be mixed and matched to complete the ideal itinerary including Partner Choices for incentives, all of which can be booked via your personalised account manager.”

The Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort is capitalising on the increasing number of ‘adventure’ activities which have emerged in the Sigatoka area of the Coral Coast region.

Full day delegate packages can be complemented by a range of activities including Sigatoka River Safari, treatments at the award-winning BeBe Spa, 18 Holes on an internationally-recognised championship golf course, local village tours, the adjacent Kula Eco Park as well as sip Lining, off-road cave safaris, fire walking and the Aqua-Trek shark encounter.

The sister property to the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort is Castaway Island in the Mamanucas which has celebrated its 50th anniversary this month. The resort which has a stronger incentive focus has 65 air-conditioned bures four restaurants, four bars, two freshwater swimming pools, a Kids Club and numerous water based activities including a dedicated Scuba Diving service. Earlier this year, Cyclone Winston hit Castaway Island and suffered extensive damage with 12 bures needing to be re-built. The resort was closed for three and a half months and with all staff remaining with the property to work on its rejuvenation before it re-opened again on 1 June.
