Say hello to Tasmania’s newest glamping site.

The new location at Clarence Point, forty-five minutes’ north of Launceston, features a cluster of five metre bell tents equipped with queen-sized beds made up with Egyptian cotton 1000 thread count sheets, an eco-friendly wood heater, Bose speakers and a Weber barbecue to ensure that glampers are still in touch with their urban conveniences.

Each bell tent also comes with its own private 4m tipi tent, with a fully-functioning bathroom comprising of a flushing toilet and a gas-powered shower.

Located on a major wine route with more than thirty vineyards in the nearby vicinity, Wingtons is in close proximity to bushwalks through national parks, white sandy beaches and has an abundance of wildlife on site. There are also plenty of cycling routes, fishing spots and there are regular yacht races held by the yacht club at Beauty Point, all of which can be viewed from the tents.

Nathaniel Wicks, co-owner of Wingtons, said, “We’re thrilled to be launching our brand new glamping site this year, and look forward to giving our visitors an original glamping experience the way it used to be done. We’ve made every effort to recreate an authentic slice of luxury into the Tasmanian countryside, creating that ‘boutique hotel’ feel, with the additional bonus of abundant nature and wildlife right on your doorstep. This is camping at its very finest, with no expense spared.”
