The annual ProBlogger conference took place at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast last weekend.

With 700 camera-toting, opinionated communicators converging on the venue, the team certainly lived up to high expectations.

With a list of dietary requirements that would circle the earth several times, the catering team handled this by creating a separate space upstairs for people with specific needs.

The remainder of the food was creatively presented, with morning tea comprising fruit with chocolate or yogurt pots for dipping, macarons, melting moments, falafel, prawns on lemongrass stalks, and much more.

The lunch buffet included Paleo, gluten-free and vegan options, with the poolside party on the second night featuring food stations; an oyster and prawn bar, an antipasto bar, a lolly and icecream bar and plenty of roving  canapés and a hot beef roll station.

Speakers included Brandon Cowan, a young Australian app developer, Heather B. Armstrong, a mega-blogger from the US (@dooce), and Simple Green Smoothies co-founder Jadah Sellner, among many others. Full details of the event can be found here.

Olympus, one of the major sponsors, hosted training sessions alongside the main plenary sessions.

The event was sold out months in advance and was supported by the Gold Coast Tourism Board, as well as RACV Royal Pines, Telstra, Virgin and Nuffnang, among others.
