Two huge of days of Meetings NZ were rounded off with an ‘urban chic’ event at Shed 10.

The finale event saw over 250 delegates and suppliers congregate at Shed 10 to take selfies in the photo booth, enjoy tastes of New Zealand from the food stations and roving canapés, dance to kiwi popstar Tiki Tane’s latest hits and enjoy a rousing Maori dance performance.

Jacqui Alexander from Event Impressions said, “This is our fourth Meetings event. We transformed the Meetings gala in 2011 to a stand up event, originally planned for the AMI Stadium in Christchurch. We created a brand for the event “Shuffle: mix, move, mingle” that was never more fitting than after the earthquake. The event was moved to Rotorua and a party was created like no other. Event Impressions created an emotional silhouette dance performance piece set to the NZ national anthem and for the first time ever, there was total silence as the audience was swept away with emotion.

“Then in 2013 we were the first to create an event in Shed 10. The builders left at 7am, the guests walked in at 7pm to Loft 10 ar  Shed 10. The vibe was warm and eclectic and we drew inspiration from the corrugate, glass, wood and rustic nature of the building.

“We returned in 2014 to the Viaduct Events Centre (VEC), a very different space, and transformed the glass and concrete room into a space aglow with tall trees, warm lighting and fairylights galore. The revolving lounge was a huge hit and the VEC was seen in a warm and inviting light.

“This year we went with a street vibe with an urban chic feel. Graffiti along side glamour. Grunge and gorgeousness,” said Alexander.
