Ex-Merivale chef takes over Cook and Waiter


Boutique catering business Cook and Waiter has changed hands and is now owned and managed by ex-Merivale executive chef David O’Brien.

After 12 years in the business Peter Lin and John Wilson have sold the business to long-time colleague and creative collaborator David O’Brien.

David officially took over the business in late 2014, after having worked closely with Cook and Waiter as a creative consultant and executive chef since the beginning of 2014.

David is one of Australia’s top event chefs, having most recently held the position of Executive Chef, Events at Justin Hemmes’ Merivale Group for the last 5 years.
