Travel and Transport Forum chief executive Ken Morrison said, “Investment in visitor infrastructure delivers significant benefits for the visitor economy, providing jobs and stimulating business opportunities in and around the local area.

“It has also encouraged investment by AHL who have recently opened their new hotel Atura Blacktown.

“Up to 20,000 visitors are expected each day which is great news for Prospect and surrounding suburbs that will benefit from this influx.

“Attractions stimulate spending in the visitor economy which is great for jobs in the hospitality, accommodation, and entertainment industries.

“This is great news for the NSW visitor economy that contributes $26.9 billion to GSP, employs more than 150,000 people and supports 96,000 businesses.

“This exciting new development features over 40 slides and attractions including a giant tornado ride and the world’s tallest looping tube complex.

“Guests visiting Wet’n’Wild Sydney will also enjoy the 150-metre surf pool, the a 70-metre wave pool, and a new action river.

“Congratulations to Village Roadshow and Wet’n’Wild Sydney on delivering this exciting new attraction for the state and to AHL on opening their new hotel.”
