Fundraiser celebrates 50 years of medical research and raises $450,000 for charity.

In late May, Sydney’s medical research community and its supporters gathered in the Grand Ballroom at the Sydney Sofitel for a golden evening of entertainment, celebration and fundraising.


Phalaenopsis orchids were the flower of choice

VIP guests included Minister for Health and Ageing Tanya Plibersek, NSW Minister for Health and Medical Research Jillian Skinner, Delta Goodrem and Chairman of the Garvan Research Foundation Board Geoff Dixon.


The 50th anniversary was represented by gold theming

The event was MCed by ABC’s Virginia Trioli and designed by Pip Margan with AV by Prime AV, floristry by Grandiflora, props by Funktionality and invitations by Bright Red Oranges. The menu was created by celebrity Chef Neil Perry.
