Sydney hotel introduces online ticketing for in-house events

The Sebel Pier One Sydney has introduced an online ticketing system allowing guests to purchase tickets to their popular in-house events such as Melbourne Cup, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.


The Sebel Pier One Sydney has introduced an online ticketing system allowing guests to purchase tickets to their popular in-house events such as Melbourne Cup, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

Purchasing tickets to the hotel’s functions, events and parties can now all be done via the hotel’s website. Attendees can also choose to add on accommodation to their event booking. As online ticket sales opened to the hotel’s four major New Year’s Eve events, the hotel sold close to 50% of allocated tickets in three weeks.


Sydney’s Sebl Pier One has launched an online ticketing system for their popular events including New Year’s Even on Sydney Harbour.

“Before we had a system where taking bookings for major events such as Christmas Day, Father’s Day and New Year’s Eve was time consuming with a lot of back and forth with the customer – signing forms, authorising payment and the like,” said general manager Michael Sheridan. “As people are becoming more accustomed to online transactions, it made sense for us to offer our customers this option with the number of events we host, and so we’ve found the investment to be well worth the effort.”

The Sebel Pier One Sydney will host four spectacular New Year’s Eve parties with peerless views of the harbour and bridge, along with their much feted Christmas Day lunch and Melbourne Cup events in November.
