Business Events Geelong launches new MICE site

Business Events Geelong has launched its new website, designed to be the primary tool for industry professionals looking to conduct an event in Victoria's Geelong and the Great Ocean Road region

Business Events Geelong has launched its new website , designed to be the primary tool for the Meetings Incentives Conference and Exhibitions (MICE) industry professionals looking to conduct an event in Victoria’s Geelong and the Great Ocean Road region.

The newly launched site was unveiled at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) in February.

The site has been designed using industry leading responsive web design, which intuitively configures the screen information to suit the device on which it is being used. In addition to this technology the site has been created with two cohorts of users in mind, experienced meeting and event organisers and those planning their first event. The ‘intelligent’ navigation ensures that each user is provided the required assistance in the fewest keystrokes.

Convention bureau manager Terry Hickey said that the Business Events Geelong team responded to feedback from its members and website users by reviewing websites from all over the world and working with our design agency DDG to deliver a redesigned site that better reflect the needs of the customer. “We see www.BusinessEventsGeelong.com.au as a one stop shop, with all information available within three or four keystrokes.”

The site features a number of Planning Tools to make the job of placing an event in our region easier, including a streamlined request for proposal function, which allows the BE Geelong team to tailor a personalised, targeted response to all requests. “ We hope that by removing barriers, the new website will generate more business for our members,” Hickey said

Hickey said the redesigned website has been built with our current and future website users very much front of mind.

“It demonstrates Business Events Geelong’s continued on-going commitment to showcase regional venues, products and services to conference organisers both nationally and internationally.”

Visitors are able to access all online content for free, including the bi-monthly newsletter, latest business events news, planners guide and current ‘Great Deals’ offered by venues and services.
