Harbour Rocks Hotel offers penthouse venues for events

Sydney’s Harbour Rocks Hotel is now offering some of the city’s most attractive and best-value penthouses as a premier venue for intimate cocktail events, dinners, celebrity functions and high-level brainstorming sessions.

Harbour Rocks Hotel is the newest member of Accor’s distinctive MGallery Collection, and has been re-launched following a total renovation of redesign of the hotel, which included the launch of the Harbour View Suite, which comes with a rarity in Sydney – a large outdoor terrace, which is ideal for entertaining.

Offering some of the most enviable views in Sydney, the Harbour Rocks Hotel offers unique penthouses and suites for entertaining.

For those looking to host an intimate dinner with the Sydney Opera House as the backdrop, under the stars, a banquet table can be set up on the Terrace with space for up to 20 people. The hotel can offer a variety of dining options, including a chef and barbecue to provide the freshest dishes.

The Suite boasts a spacious lounge and dining area which flows onto the terrace providing the perfect indoor/outdoor space, making it an equally suitable venue for cocktail parties for up to 40 guests. String quartets or small jazz bands have plenty of space to entertain guests, who have the city skyline and harbour as a stunning natural backdrop.

And for event and conference organisers who want to make a real statement, the hotel – in its entirety – is available for hire. From the Harbour View Suite, to the 59-guestrooms, the boardroom, Scarlett restaurant and the second-floor terrace – delegates can have free reign of Harbour Rocks Hotel with staff on hand to attend to every type of request.

The newly rated 4.5-star hotel has successfully navigated a multi-million dollar refurbishment which has seen the hotel’s interior stripped back to its original foundations, exposing the sandstone and brick walls which were laid in 1887, as well as a rumoured resident ghost.

The hotel’s rich and distinctive heritage features provide a mix of old world charm to complement the European, designer influences, such as the cascading wax chandelier from Israel adorns the lobby and the original maps of Sydney’s first colony, which line the walls. Italian designer lights illuminate the second floor terrace, while plush furnishings are sourced from local suppliers.

All of the 59-guestrooms come with the mod-cons expected of hotels today, with iPod docking stations, a DVD library and wifi access available in all rooms.
