Brisbane based event and exhibition supplier; Moreton Hire, will this week deliver the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition (QME) in Mackay, the largest expo for the booming mining industry in the sunshine state.

Since its inception in 1993, QME has grown to 650 exhibitors and an expected 15 000 visitors in 2012.

The exhibition will prove a logistical feat for Moreton Hire who will supply all temporary structures and exhibition space to the show including 20,000m2 of tent infrastructure.

Tim Coupland, Commercial Manager of Major Events at Moreton Hire, says his team have worked meticulously to ensure the show’s success.

“This event is 18 months in the making, with the size of the exhibition requiring logistical efficiency to deliver on a grand scale, including the negotiation of 56 semi trailers moving between Brisbane and Mackay, 5000 pieces of furniture, 16 000 carpet tiles to be laid, 8000m2 of exhibition booths and space for big-ticket mining capital equipment.”

COO, Roger Motteram said their ongoing affiliation with QME is based on a longstanding relationship built on trust and a track record of successfully delivering major events.

“We continue to strive to be the market leader in this space; by combining our expert staff on the ground, large quantities of tent infrastructure, logistical delivery and our commitment to invest and innovate in the servicing of Major Events for Australia” said Motteram.

Moreton Hire’s involvement with QME further strengthens the company’s reputation to deliver seamless and successful events on the national stage. As market leaders and national supplier with over 40 years experience, Moreton Hire has Australia’s largest, most expansive and diverse range of event and exhibition products and services.
