Brisbane Marketing launches new online Event Planing Directory

Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau yesterday launched Australia's first dedicated online city directory, the Brisbane Event Planning Directory, for the business events industry

Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau yesterday (July 16) launched Australia’s first dedicated online city directory, the Brisbane Event Planning Directory, for the business events industry incorporating venues, accommodation and services.

Driven by the demand from the meetings and events industry for online business tools, the directory will be the go-to tool for corporate, association, government, university and professional conference organisers planning meetings, events and conferences in Brisbane.

The new Brisbane Event Planning Directory will complement the Convention Bureau’s website and will include a powerful search engine and dynamic, up-to-date content.

Planners will also be able to view the new directory on both iPhones and iPads, making this essential information easier to access anywhere, anytime.

Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau director Annabel Sullivan said organisations are more likely to hold events in Brisbane if they have easy access to current business events services and information.

“In the past, many of our clients received information on Brisbane through our printed Meeting Planners’ Guide and the Unique Venues Guide. The new online directory allows us to provide more dynamic information in an environmentally sustainable format,” Sullivan said.

“Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau sits at the heart of the local business events industry and the new directory is a clear demonstration of ‘Team Brisbane’ leading the way in the national business events industry,” she said.

One of the key business benefits of the new directory to Convention Bureau members is the capability to track and measure return on their investment through its online reporting functions.

Brisbane’s business events industry is worth over $211 million dollars in economic value to Australia’s new world city and the lasting legacies and boost to the local economy is felt long after delegates leave the city.

Conferences also provide Brisbane’s business community with access to the latest information on their industry, bringing together leading industry minds from a number of geographical locations, to share knowledge and skills.
