The Turbine Hall at Sydney’s Cockatoo Island hosted over 2,000 guests for the opening party.
Organised by The Events Authority, the opening party for the Biennale’s artists and supporters arrived via a fleet of Captain Cook rocket ferries and boats that departed jetty 6.
Eventbrite made the entry and access to the event seamless.
On arrival at the island, guests were guided through the dog leg tunnel and round to the Turbine Hall and entered the event space. Vittoria provided a selection of cheeses displayed on custom made cheese bars and Yering Station provided all the beverages .
The event featured custom made cheese bars designed and built by Foolscap Studio.
The Events Authority worked closely with Foolscap Studio and Guardian Productions in designing and constructing the event. 1000 cardboard tubes were used to build each food & cheese station and all the bars, these were carefully tied together with string.
Valiant complimented the event design with a range of contemporary furniture.
Vittoria and Jarsberg provided a selection of cheeses displayed on custom made cheese bars. Guests enjoyed a selection of wines and beers supplied by Yering Station and Asahi. The bathrooms were tastefully supplied with aromatic hand washes and creams courtesy of Aesop.
Two large timber canopies were flown from the 20 metre ceiling draped with beautiful hanging gardens. Guests were entertained throughout the evening with a selection of music from FBi radio DJ’s.
