Event Crew launches in Sydney


Event Crew, a new Sydney-based event management and support services agency has launched with an established international team.

Event Crew is an Australian agency suppling supporting staff for all cultural, business, social and educational events. The company set out to fill a gap in the local event management scene by providing professional hosting and assistance services, matching the standard of most European countries.

According to managing director Timea Ridly, Event Crew professional event support services were established to focus on conference registration and supports, exhibition product sampling and promotional staff.

During the selection process strict attention goes to the applicants’ communication skills, social etiquette, knowledge of foreign languages, reliability, organisational skills, and attractive appearance, Ridley said.

“By recruiting students already competent in event management and customer relationship management, obviously including overseas students with excellent language skills and often a reliable background in professional hosting, Event Crew not only provides clients with a wide array of skilled and trained young support staff for their events, but also provides these young people with a job opportunity, hands-on experience, and a possible stepping stone towards future employment.”
