Virgin Australia is boosting services on the Sydney-Canberra sector to 10 per day, following the introduction of new ATR 72 aircraft on the key route.

Virgin Australia is boosting services on the Sydney-Canberra sector to 10 per day, following the introduction of new ATR 72 aircraft on the key route.

The ATR aircraft will operate Virgin Australia’s new Capital Connect services, which includes complimentary inflight snacks and drinks on all flights between Sydney and Canberra.

“Capital Connect guests will have the choice from a three category menu, with high quality gourmet snacks that has been introduced as part of the airline’s enhanced inflight product offering,” said Virgin Australia Group Executive Product and Guest Services Martin Daley.

“This complimentary inflight service is unique to this route and is part of our overall brand repositioning which includes (the) introduction of the new Virgin Australia Business Class, newly renovated lounges and a range of flexible fares,” he said.

Virgin will also offer complimentary newspapers on flights before noon and beer and wine on services after 4pm each day.
