A long-standing member of the ISES Sydney Chapter, International Corporate Events have recently been nominated as finalist for a 2011 ISES Esprit Award by the International Special Events Society.

The Silver Wish Ball was a feast of entertainment

Their entry, ‘The Silver Wish Ball – 25th Anniversary Gala Fundraising Celebration’, was submitted in the category of Best Event for a Non-Profit Organization (over $200,000). The event was produced for the Make-A-Wish Australia Foundation who celebrated their Silver Anniversary of successful wish-granting to children with life-threatening medical conditions in Australia at a series of balls throughout 2010.

“Back in 1997, we were the first company in a country outside of the USA to take home the coveted Esprit Award for the ‘most outstanding event’. Now 14 years later and still going strong, we are thrilled to be nominated as a finalist once again,” said  Romaine Pereira, managing director of International Corporate Events.

“We would like to thank our client Make-A-Wish Australia for the opportunity of working with them on this signature event, and also, of course, our thanks go to our suppliers and fellow ISES members who worked with us on the ‘Silver Wish Ball’. These include MCEC (Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre), Staging Rentals, Uptempo Entertainment, Decorative Events, Solution Red, Event Pix and Lovegrove Productions (The Leading Men)” said  Pereira.

Sumptuous decor and lighting design created a magical atmosphere for the gala event

The International Special Event Society (ISES), honours industry excellence through the ISES Esprit Awards which fuel a spirit of competition within designated categories. Special event professionals who exhibit a “spirit of excellence” in their work gain global visibility and recognition through the ISES Esprit Awards.

The importance of global recognition helps improve industry standards internationally and further promotes the professionalism of Special Events practitioners. ISES is dedicated to recognising excellence in events and honouring those whose vision and creativity make their events “special”.

The Esprit Awards winners will be announced at a Gala Ceremony on 6 August at the ISES Eventworld Conference in St Louis, Missouri, USA.
