The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney has unveiled its ‘pièce de résistance’, four newly refurbished signature suites as the grand finale to a two-year, AUD$18 million refurbishment.
Hot bath: a suite arrival at the Four Seasons Sydney
Intended to take on a 1930s-era New York-style apartment, leading interior and architecture practice, Bates Smart, wanted to evoke a feeling of warmth, elegance and refinement.
Taking prime position in the bay window and offering views over Sydney’s Circular Quay, the spacious master bathroom is unapologetically indulgent with warm, silvery travertine echoing the suite’s parquet floor
Without doubt one of the most talked about features will be the overtly sensual bathtub, custom-made by Melbourne-based Apaiser, across all suites, including the Presidential Suite, already being occupied by a cavalcade of celebrity bottoms. Yes, the Four Seasons is currently hosting internationally acclaimed actors, musicians and celebrities (avec entourage) as I write.
With the Sydney Opera House as its backdrop, the master bedroom is an intimate cocoon featuring an elegant four-poster bed with linen canopy.
Coming down a notch, the luxurious Royal Suites feature strong undertones of penthouse glamour but with an intriguing, metropolitan twist using parquet floor, timber wall paneling, wallpaper and soft Roman blinds to create a feeling of intimacy and warmth.
And I know you want to ask… the Presidential Suite is priced from AUD$5925 per night, the Deluxe Royal from $3925 and the two one-bedroom Royal Suites from $1925.
