The chain’s five properties – spanning Cairns, Palm Cove and Port Douglas – reported only minor vegetation damage as a result of Tropical Cyclone Yasi and landscaping restoration at resorts are almost complete.

“There was no structural damage to any of our five hotels and whilst the surrounding trees and vegetation were badly damaged, I am simply astounded just how quickly the team has responded with the clean-up and replanting, and are just getting on with the business,” said Mirvac Hotels and Resorts CEO, Stephen Burt.

As the works continue and to entice the meetings and conference industry to return to Tropical North Queensland, Mirvac has released a range of day delegate packages starting from AUD$55.

Packages start at $55 per person, per day delegate, at The Sebel Cairns and Cairns Harbour Lights, while packages start at $60 per person at Sea Temple Resort and Spa Palm Cove and from $65 at Sea Temple Resort and Spa Port Douglas. Accommodation starts at $169 per room, per night.

All offers are on sale to April 1, 2011 and is valid for travel until December 30, 2011.
