Cambridge Events delivers Movie Extra VIP Marquee at Tropfest

Sydney's Cambridge Events once again delivered the Movie Extra Tropfest VIP Marquee in retro 'Mad Men' style for their long standing client for the third year running.

Cambridge Events once again delivered the Movie Extra Tropfest VIP Marquee for long standing client Movie Extra for the third year running in 2010.

The outdoor film festival took place on Sunday February 21 and is the world’s largest short film festival held annually in Sydney’s Domain in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The two storey marquee, supplied by Pages Event Hire
offered VIPs prime viewing positions of the short films

As the naming rights sponsor and broadcaster of Movie Extra Tropfest 2010, Movie Extra provided their guests with a prime viewing position of this year’s films in their two storey retro-cool Mad Men themed marquee. It was the first time this structure, provided by Pages Event Hire, had been used in Sydney.

The Movie Extra bar offered a relaxed
cocktail setting for guests.

Cambridge Events worked with designers Alex and Brad to create an interior inspired by New York circa 1963, the setting for the recently screened third season of Mad Men. This set the tone for a relaxed cocktail setting, decorated with period furniture, scenic features and materials, magazines and advertisements lining the walls referencing the Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency from the show.

The bar staff, with hair, make up and wardrobe to match the era, served Manhattans, Vodka Gimlets and Classic Martinis as guest enjoyed a perfect summer afternoon.

The Pamper Palour offered a bit of luxury
and indulgence to guests within the marquee

Upstairs featured a pretty pink beauty parlour where guests were treated to hair styling, make up, manicures and massages. This floor was also used as a hosting position by Adam Hills and Alan Brough during the live broadcast.
