The South African city of Johannesburg is continuing to attract the attention of the international business tourism industry with a huge host of mega-events secured for the next few years.

With the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup, South Africa is on track to prove it’s no stranger to hosting many successful international mega events just as the destination has previously hosted the  Miss World competition, the World Solar Congress, the Rugby and Cricket World Cup, the Indian Premier League cricket tournament, the A1 Grand Prix and many other large sporting events.

Johannesburg has also made its way up the ranks on the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) rankings with numerous international congresses confirmed in the following years including the International Pediatrics’ Association Congress, Agriculture Biotechnology International 2011 and the International Federation of Cosmetic Chemist Congress 2012 to name a few.
